Where will the 2023 AOCS Annual Meeting be held?
The main meeting venue is the Colorado Convention Center, located at 700 14th St in Denver, Colorado, USA.
What are the official dates of the 2023 AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo?
The official meeting dates are Sunday, April 30–Wednesday, May 3, 2023. The first official event begins at 4 p.m. MDT on Sunday. Some events, including the Edible Fats and Oils Processing: Basic Principles and Modern Practices Short Course, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, before the official start of the meeting.
When does registration open?
Pre-registration opens Wednesday, January 4, 2023. Onsite registration opens Sunday, April 30 at 9 a.m. in Hall A (exhibit level) of the Colorado Convention Center. Onsite registration is open Sunday–Wednesday during the meeting.
Who can register as an "Early Career Member?"
Early career members have less than 10 years of experience working in the sector. As an early career member, you can attend the AOCS annual meeting at a discounted registration rate.
Early career members are also invited to participate in the Early Career Common Interest Group (CIG) activities, including the Early Career CIG reception at the annual meeting. You will also have unique access to the Early Career Inspiration Lounge in the AOCS Annual Meeting Exhibit Hall.
When will the presentation abstracts be available?
The full technical program – including complete abstracts – will be available on the annual meeting website beginning February 20, 2023
Will there be online presentations this year?
No. All oral presentations made during the 2023 AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo will be made in-person.
Will attendees be able to watch presentations live online?
Only those attending the annual meeting in-person will be able to attend the live oral presentations.
What presentations will be provided to view on-demand?
All oral presentations will be recorded and the content will be made available to view on-demand by May 29, 2023. Poster presenters will be encouraged to upload a PDF of their physical poster to the annual meeting website. However, it is up to the individual poster presenter whether they choose to make their presentation available on-demand.
How can I obtain a copy of a presenter’s presentation?
It is up to the individual presenters whether they choose to make their presentation slide decks available on the annual meeting website. Presentations may be available to view on the annual meeting website as early as February 20.
What is the dress code?
Attire is business casual, and we encourage you to wear comfortable shoes. We also recommend you dress in layers, as temperatures in meeting rooms can vary.
Is the registration list for sale?
No. Fraudulent companies may reach out to you under the guise of working with AOCS. These companies are not affiliated with AOCS in any way and are attempting to obtain personal information and credit card numbers in exchange for an excel document. We are not sure what contact list they are attempting to sell, but we guarantee it is not the actual AOCS annual meeting attendee list.
