Abstract: A new patented group of surfactants capable of maintaining efficacy at very high concentrations of strong bases as well as high temperatures will be presented along with basic performance characteristics and application data. These surfactants demonstrate an interesting two edged sword in that a high level of electrolyte is not only tolerated but actually necessary for best performance. Some of the benefits and drawbacks of this duality will also be presented.
