Novel processing and products for food security and resilient global food supply chains

Abstract: The global food system is facing a range of challenges, including declining resources, the impact of climate change, geopolitical tensions, the pandemic, and a rapidly growing population. In some regions, overabundance has resulted in rising environmental and health costs, while in others, scarcity has caused malnutrition and stunted growth. To ensure food security, the food supply chain must be made more efficient, sustainable, resilient, and equitable.

EQUII is transforming agriculture with its cutting-edge food technology, which produces high-quality proteins sustainably. This approach enables key transitions in the overall make-up of global food system, including inclusivity of all food systems, conservation of scarce resources, improved production efficiency, and promotion of healthier diets for all. EQUII aims to partner with governments and private stakeholders in the Ag-Food value chain to deploy technology and build resilient global food systems, allowing communities to better manage food supplies and combat food crises, malnutrition and scarcity.
