This session will cover applications from skincare to cocoa butter. Developing skincare products requires practical, non-invasive methods. Hyperspectral camera imaging acquires chemical information through reflectance spectra to establish a proportional quantification of products of interest. In another talk, a new workflow in cannabis and hemp labs minimizes errors, improves data quality, reduces hands-on time, and increases throughput and reproducibility. Also, cocoa butter exhibits polymorphisms that are affected by additives, cooling conditions, temperature, and relative humidity. Raman spectrum can be used to identify cis or trans isomers, fatty acid saturation, and polymorphic stability.
