Xuebing Xu, PhD, Chief Scientist of Wilmar China/Yihai Kerry. Former general manager of Wilmar (Shanghai) Biotechnology Research and development Center Ltd. He received his Ph.D. degree from Technical University of Denmark and was a professor in agro-biotechnology science in Aarhus University, Denmark. His areas of research include lipid technology, enzyme technology, monitoring/analysis technology, food/lipid/ingredients functionality, biofuel technology, food safety, etc. He has published more than 300 papers, edited 4 books, and is inventor or co-inventor of more than 70 patents. He is associate editor or board member for a few international journals. He was the founding president of the International Association of Rice Bran Oil (IARBO) (2013-2014), and the chairman for the Phospholipid Division (2017-2018), vice chairman of the China Section (2017-now), of the American Oil Chemists’ Society.
Awards received: European Lipid Technology Award, AOCS Fellow, AOCS Stephen Chang Award, International Award for Rice Bran Oil Research, CCOA Excellence Awards, etc.
