Dr. Zhang is currently an Assistant Professor at Center for Precision Plant Genomics and the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology, University of Minnesota. His research is focused on crop improvement using genome editing and synthetic genomic approaches. Dr. Zhang obtained his Ph.D. from Iowa State University, and had the postdoctoral training at University of Georgia and University of Minnesota.
