Dr. Ghazani received his Ph.D. and Master degrees in Food Science from the University of Guelph in Canada. Saeed started as a supervisor working on fats and oils processing in 2000 to control the process and troubleshooting while starting up a new batch or continuous oil refining plants. He worked for more than ten years with diverse teams, from edible oil production plants to quality control and research and development groups.
After immigration to Canada in 2010, Saeed has been working as a Research Associate in the Department of Food Science at the University of Guelph under Professor Alejandro G. Marangoni's supervision. His research has mainly focused on enzymatic interesterification of oils and fats to improve their physical, chemical, and functional properties, studying triacylglycerols crystal structures and polymorphism and microbial oil production.
