Dr. Helen Ngo received her PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She joined the Eastern Regional Research Center (ERRC) of USDA in 2004. She has over 15 years of experience in conducting homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic research on natural lipids to produce branched functional lipid products that are industrially useful, economically affordable and amendable to large scale production. She is currently a Lead Scientist at the ERRC leading a research project on developing technologies to convert biobased products from biomass.
