With a passion for science and sustainability, Michael Furlan, a Senior Research Associate at Novozymes has been studying microbes for over 15 years. His microbial background spans from agriculture, where he developed crop yield solutions for farmers to most recently the home care industry, where he harnesses the power of microbes to meet consumer demands for sustainable cleaning. He recently moved to North Carolina from Canada and is currently trying to find ways to cope with the hot and humid Carolina summers. Outside of work he enjoys being physically active with his wife and 2 kids. A typical week for him involves coaching baseball, trips to the ninja gym, long family bike rides, and backyard fun. Michael holds a Master of Science in molecular biology from the University of Saskatchewan
