Patrick C. Stenger, PhD, is an R&D Director Principal Scientist at Procter & Gamble where he is a Product Designer for Liquid Laundry Detergents. His responsibilities include identifying and integrating new technologies into liquid laundry formulations and developing the modeling platform to virtually design liquid laundry products. His focus is on new surfactant materials and novel formulation approaches. In previous roles at P&G, he has worked in the Upstream Technology group developing new molecules for laundry products. These include surfactants, chelants and hueing dyes that are now formulated in P&G laundry products globally. He is a named inventor on 32 granted US Patents. He received his BS in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
