My name is Hilke Schacht and I have completed my bachelor's (2014-2018) and master's degree (2018-2021) in food technology at the University of Bonn. Prior to my PhD, I also gained two years of experience in research and development in the food industry (frozen food and confectionery). I started my PhD in July 2021 in the Chocolate Technology and Reformulations group at the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging in Freising.
