Nutrition Advisor

Qwamel Hanks is a Nutrition Advisor with the Center for Nutrition under the United States Agency for International Development’s Bureau for Resilience and Food Security. In her role, she provides technical guidance to USAID Missions and implementing partners to improve nutrition through food systems and agriculture programs. Prior to joining USAID, Ms. Hanks worked for domestic non-profits in areas ranging from community nutrition to school meal programs. Her work has been highlighted nationally by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as by at the state-level. Ms. Hanks is a registered nutritionist and holds a B.S. in Dietetics from the University of Florida and an MPH in Global Health Program Design, Monitoring & Evaluation from The George Washington University.
