This session will address challenges to the global food system, including declining resources, climate change, geopolitical tensions, the pandemic, and a rapidly growing population. The Soybean Innovation Lab (SIL) Managed Research Area for Human Nutrition is partnering with AOCS and Cultivating New Frontiers in Africa (CNFA) to support Sub-Saharan Africa processors. This consultancy program enables inexpensive, nutritious, and safe soybean products to reach markets at scale. A presenter will share research on the economics of soybean as an industrial engine for emerging market economies. Also, EQUII, a food technology company, is transforming agriculture by producing high-quality proteins sustainably.
