Ipek Bayram is a Ph.D. candidate in Food Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is working under the supervision of Dr. Eric Decker. Her research is on lipid oxidation and antioxidants, particularly focusing on determining and analyzing synergistic antioxidant mechanisms in food matrices to prolong shelf-life. This year, she has received the Honored Student Award and Manuchehr (Manny) Eijadi Award from AOCS.
