Baljit has spent 20+ years in Agri-Food Tech sector. Serving as a senior leader at various corporations, he managed technology and innovation functions in R&D. Most recently, he was SVP Food Innovation at Nature's Fynd where he led teams in technology and product development functions in fast-emerging vegan, dairy-free & meatless product categories. In his prior role at ADM, he was appointed as the VP of Food Research where he managed teams that spearheaded the discovery, development, and commercialization of new processes and products derived from grains and fermentation technology. He also supported ADM Venture’s diligence in new startup companies in the syn-bio space. Baljit is driven by high-impact technologies promoting nutrition, the health of people, and the planet.
As Co-Founder/ CTO in his current role at Equii (formerly known as Cella), he oversees innovation, technology & commercialization activities for the company. His mission is to make staples healthier by leveraging fermentation of grains to make high protein flours with highest protein quality as seen in soy or beef but with better taste and sustainability story.
